Your Team & Roles
Organise tournaments as a team — invite co-organisers by email and give each the right role, from scorer to owner.
Every tournament is organised under exactly one owner — a club or a team. If you already run a managed club, you can organise under it. If you don't, a team is a lightweight group for running events: invite co-organisers, give each a role, and (optionally) receive entry fees — without setting up a full club.
Team or club?
When you create a tournament, the Organised by selector lists the clubs you manage and the teams you belong to; you pick one as the owner. A club suits an existing IpponBoard club; a team suits an independent organiser. Either way, the people who can manage the event are the members of that owner — which is what roles below control.
Create a team
Open Teams
In the sidebar, choose Teams. (This area is available to Managers and above.)
Create Team
Click Create Team (or Create Your First Team if you have none yet).
Name it
Enter a Team Name and click Create Team. You become the team's Owner automatically.

Invite your team
Open the team
From the Teams list, click your team to open its page. You'll see Team Members and Invitations.
Invite by email
Under Invitations, click Invite Member, enter their Email Address, pick a Role, and click Send Invitation. They receive an email with a link that's valid for 7 days. (You can only invite roles below your own — see the table below.)
They accept
The link opens an accept page. If they don't have an account yet, they set a password and are signed straight in; if they already have one, they sign in with that email to accept. They then land on the team page.
Adjust later
From Team Members you can change a member's role or Remove them — again, only for roles below your own. Pending invites can be cancelled under Invitations.

The four roles
Roles are ranked Scorer → Manager → Admin → Owner. A key rule everywhere: you can only invite, change, or remove members whose role is below your own.
Scorer
Scores matches on the scoreboard app at the mat. Read-only otherwise — can’t create or edit tournaments, and can’t manage members.
Manager
Creates and runs the team’s tournaments (add athletes, draw, run fights). Can invite and manage Scorers only. Can’t delete tournaments, change tournament settings, or manage other Managers/Admins.
Admin
Full tournament control — including settings, deleting a tournament, and billing. Can manage everyone except the Owner, and can reach the team’s Team Settings and payment setup. Can’t delete the team or change the owner.
Owner
Everything an Admin can do, plus deleting the team and transferring ownership. Auto-assigned to the team’s creator; can’t be removed by anyone.
What this means for a tournament
Once a tournament is owned by your team, every member who is a Manager, Admin, or Owner can manage it — edit it, draw it, and run it. Scorers can only score. So adding someone as a Manager immediately gives them editing rights across all of the team's tournaments; adding them as a Scorer gives them scoring only.
