Access Matrix

Control which classes each plan can access.

The access matrix defines which classes are available to each membership plan. This allows you to create tiered memberships where higher-priced plans unlock more training options.

  2. Click on the plan you want to configure
  3. Scroll to the "Class Access" section
  4. Check the classes this plan should include
  5. Click "Save Changes"

  • All Classes: Full access to every class on your schedule
  • Specific Classes: Only the classes you select
  • Class Categories: All classes in selected categories (e.g., all "Adult" classes)

Common Access Patterns

Age-Based Access

Junior plans only include kids/junior classes. Adult plans include adult classes. This prevents children from accidentally booking adult sessions.

Tiered Access (Good/Better/Best)

Basic plan: 2 classes/week. Standard plan: Unlimited classes. Premium plan: Unlimited classes + open mat + private lessons.

Competition Team

Competition-focused plan that includes competition squad training, early morning sessions, and strength & conditioning - classes not included in regular memberships.

Family Plans

Family plans typically include all classes across all age groups, allowing parents and children to train during any session.

What Happens When Access is Denied?

Member Portal

Members only see classes they can access when browsing the schedule. Classes outside their plan are hidden or shown as "Upgrade to access."

Check-in

If a member tries to check in to a class not in their plan, staff will see a warning. You can choose to allow entry anyway or ask the member to upgrade.

Kiosk Mode

Self-service kiosks can be configured to either block check-in or show a prompt asking the member to see staff.

When you add a new class to your schedule, remember to update the access matrix to include it in the appropriate plans.
Create an "Unlimited" or "Premium" plan that always has full access. Update this plan when adding new classes so premium members get automatic access.
Changing a plan's class access affects all members on that plan immediately. Notify members before removing classes from their plan.
