Manage parent/guardian relationships for junior members.

For

Junior members

Purpose

Parent/guardian management

Features

Waivers, payments, notifications

Junior members (those under your club's adult age threshold) can have guardians linked to their accounts. Guardians can manage their children's memberships, sign waivers on their behalf, and receive notifications about classes and events.

How Guardian Relationships Work

Guardian Account

A guardian is a member with their own account (they may or may not train themselves). They have special permissions to manage their linked dependents.

Dependent

A dependent is typically a junior member who is linked to one or more guardians. The dependent may or may not have their own login credentials.

Multiple Guardians

A junior member can have multiple guardians (e.g., both parents). All guardians can manage the dependent and receive notifications.

Linking a Guardian to a Junior Member

1

Open the junior member's profile

Navigate to Members and click on the junior member you want to link a guardian to.

2

Find the Guardians section

Scroll down to the "Guardians" section on their profile, or click the "Guardians" tab if using tabbed view.

3

Click 'Link Guardian'

Click the "Link Guardian" button to search for an existing member or create a new guardian account.

4

Search or create the guardian

Search for an existing member by name or email. If the guardian doesn't have an account yet, click "Create New Guardian" to add them.

5

Set the relationship

Specify the relationship type (Parent, Legal Guardian, Other) and optionally add notes about the relationship.

6

Send invitation (optional)

If creating a new guardian, you can send them an invitation email to set up their account and manage their dependent(s).

Guardian Billing

When guardians pay for their dependents' memberships, you have flexible billing options:

Separate Billing

Each dependent has their own subscription. The guardian's payment method is charged separately for each family member.

Family Plans

Create family membership plans that cover multiple family members for a single price. See Membership Plans for setup instructions.

Guardians can add additional dependents themselves through the Member Portal once their account is set up.
When a guardian has multiple children, they only need one account to manage all of them.
If a junior member needs their own login, you can add an email directly to their profile to send them an invitation.
