Square Terminal allows you to accept in-person card payments at your front desk. Customers can tap, insert, or swipe their cards, and payments are automatically linked to their Ippon System account.

Pairing Your Terminal
Ensure Square is connected
First, make sure you've connected your Square account in Settings → Payment Provider. If not, follow the Square Setup guide.
Connect your terminal to WiFi
Turn on your Square Terminal and follow the on-screen setup to connect it to your club's WiFi network.
Get the device code
On the terminal, go to Settings → Device → Pair to Point of Sale. A pairing code will appear on the screen.
Enter the code in Ippon System
In Ippon System, go to Settings → Payment Provider → Square → Pair Terminal. Enter the device code shown on your terminal.

Confirm pairing
Accept the pairing request on your terminal. The devices are now connected and ready to use.
Taking a Payment
Start the payment
From any payment screen in Ippon System (member subscription, shop checkout, etc.), select "Pay with Terminal" as the payment method.
Customer completes payment
The payment amount appears on the Square Terminal. The customer taps, inserts, or swipes their card.

Terminal Tips
Keep Terminal Charged
The Square Terminal has a built-in battery but should be kept plugged in at the front desk. A low battery can interrupt transactions.
Stable WiFi
Ensure your terminal has a strong, stable WiFi connection. Poor connectivity causes payment timeouts and frustrated customers.
Position for Customers
Place the terminal where customers can easily reach it to tap or insert their card. The screen should face the customer during payment.
