Waiver Templates

Create and manage reusable waiver templates for different purposes.

Waiver templates are reusable documents that you create once and can request signatures for from any member. Create different templates for membership, events, competitions, and other purposes.

Go to Waivers → Templates to view and manage your waiver templates:

Creating a Waiver Template

Click Create Template

From the Waivers Templates page, click the "Create Template" button.

Name your template

Give your template a clear, descriptive name like "Membership Waiver" or "Competition Liability Waiver".

Write the waiver content

Use the rich text editor to write your waiver. You can format text, add headings, and create bulleted lists. Include all necessary legal language and acknowledgments.

Configure when it's required

Choose when this waiver should be automatically requested:

  • New member registration - Required before first class
  • Event registration - Required for competitions/seminars
  • Annual renewal - Re-requested yearly

Set expiration rules

Choose when signed waivers expire and need renewal:

  • Never expires - Good for one-time acknowledgments
  • 1 year from signing - Renews annually from sign date
  • End of calendar year - All members renew at the same time

Save and activate

Click "Save Template" to activate it immediately, or "Save as Draft" to continue editing later.

No longer in use but preserved for historical records. Previously signed waivers remain valid.

Common Waiver Types

Membership Waiver

General liability waiver for all members acknowledging the risks of martial arts training. Typically required for new members and renewed annually.

Competition Waiver

Additional liability waiver specific to competition participation. May include rules acknowledgment and equipment requirements.

Photo/Video Release

Consent for the club to photograph or video members for promotional purposes. Can be optional or required.

Medical Acknowledgment

Confirmation that the member is physically fit to participate. May include emergency contact and medical condition disclosures.

Use clear, simple language in your waivers. Members are more likely to read and understand plain English.
You can edit active templates, but changes only apply to new signatures. Previously signed versions are preserved.
Archive templates instead of deleting them. This preserves the record of what members originally signed.
